ENCOURAGEMENT & TOOLS FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
There have been too many days that I care to admit, that I allowed negative thoughts and self-talk keep me from what God has for me.
But, I found myself saying enough is enough. And, I bet you have had enough too and desire freedom from your negative thoughts.
I have found that there are many stages to goal setting. There is the initial thought that enters our minds. Then, we daydream on how we will feel once we crush the goal. There are usually a few times that we stick our key in the ignition, but we don’t even turn the key.
If our busy lives and willpower allow us to even start on a goal, then the spirit of quitting and giving up hits us in the face.
There can be major obstacles in achieving goals, that makes it seem like success is not within reach. But, by identifying these hurdles to success and implementing actions to overcome them, you may be ready to take another crack at your goals.
And, there is where lies the beauty in brokenness. Because our brokenness, just like the broken crayon can still be used. In fact, God uses brokenness for His Glory. It may not feel or seem like it right now, but I pray that one day you will see.
God uses brokenness to show that in our weakness, we must rely on his strength. The beauty in brokenness is a testament to our faith and demonstration to believers and unbelievers alike.
When the leaves begin to fall or change to warmer colors, we begin to think about Thanksgiving and reasons to be thankful. But, thankfulness can truly go beyond one Thursday in the year. I challenged myself to do 30 days of thanks last year, and it truly helped the day to be more than just about a hectic day of meal prep and running around.
